Simon Spurr Reveals A Darker Side For Fall 2011

Converging with the darker side for Fall/Winter 2011 Simon Spurr, the Savile Row tailor accessorized his somber sinister collection with pieces designed by Luis Morais. The featured pieces were expressed with bull horns, horse hair, and a streamlined version of a heretic fork accompanied by black and white diamond pins with black feathers.

Luis Morais & Alchemist Pop-N-Shop

LUIS MORAIS partnered with Alchemist, Miami’s most avant-garde boutique, to launch a joint project called Pop-N-Shop as art-loving fashionistas flocked to Miami Beach for Art Basel, the most important art show in the United States.

The LUIS MORAIS Pop-N-Shop showcased an edited assortment of the newest works along with extensive selection of LUIS MORAIS designs offered in numerous metals, gemstones and sizes.

Catering to the kid in all of us, the Pop-N-Shop offered “Surprise Pop-N-Favor Bags”… not surprisingly our lips were sealed and we couldn’t and still can’t divulge what was inside, except to say that LUIS MORAIS trinkets were included.

Spring 2011 Fashion Show Natural Subtle Expressions Came to Life at the SIMON SPURR Spring 2011 Fashion Show. The collaboration with Simon Spurr, gave the opportunity for Luis Morais aficionados to view his latest works and the chance to expand his designs and visions on the market for those who have yet to be captivated. The runway pieces were inspired around the idea of natural evolution, subtle expressions and the true meaning of life and death as an illusion. Luis merged his classic and modern designs, to create bracelets and necklaces incorporating silver, earthy palette beads and leather. This collection contains a representation of “Magatama” (a curved ball) which in Japan means a talisman of good fortune. His vision behind the new creation is protective fearless combining an expression that represents his art.

Simon Spurr Autumn/Winter 2010 Menswear Show

For SIMON SPURR's first runway show, he selected works by LUIS MORAIS to accompany his runway looks. The menswear show took place February 14, 2010 at the Altman Building and managed to attract Ms. Anna Wintour. The works by LUIS MORAIS were inspired by the confident contrast of street-glam. The pieces included crocodile silver studded cuffs and black string pearl necklaces with simplistic sliver pendants.

Incorporating Luis Morais signature look of contrasting materials, Luis collaborated with retailer JOSEPH creating a collection of works entitled the “Pearl Story”

The “Pearl Story” features mix hard edged diamond skulls with elegant pearls. These limited-edition pieces are available at 77 Fulham Road, Westbourne Grove and St. Honore.
